11:14pm 04/08/2008

mood: giddy
Ok guys, to wrap up the summer and get everybody together for one last blowout Dancy house will be hosting a Leprechauns and Lenin Party.

And i bet you're asking yourself, 'what does a former socialist leader and a little green magical man have in common?' Well sources say not much but we like the way it sounds, so come dressed up as your favorite Communist Party candidate or your Favorite magical little irish friend and do battle as the two teams combat for drinking points and mercilessly heckle the other team.

On the menu right now are such Green Party treats as:
- Skittle infused "taste the rainbow" shots
- 'Pot' of gold goodies
- Lucky's Treats (lucky charm rice crispies)
- Construction paper bowler hats made upon request

And in the Red corner we'll have:
- Lenin rations to be handed out
- Soviet ranking badges
- White russians
- Apricot/honey cake (russian recipe)
- 'Stalin Staches' to be drawn on one's finger, upon request

So come one come all to the Leprechauns and Lenin Labor day blowout. RSVP is encouraged (so's we can accommodate for all you lovely folk =)

Thanks to all those who made it out to the zombie party last evening you guys were a lot of fun. I'm so terribly lucky to have such a wonderful and loving group in my midst. I've never been closer and felt more loved in my life than when you guys are around. Thank you all for your infinite joys, wisdoms, and meaningful connections. I feel at home when you guys are around, where ever we may be hanging.

BTW let it be known, as I was truly made aware of last night, that I am a brother amongst the Crowl tribe and they in turn are brothers to me. This pretty much means awesomeness

Thanks guys, you all mean the world to me, =)

Just contemplating about what it is to consider another person's view of the world as a completely legitimate and sometimes intimate one, no matter how it may differ from my own, when i came across this video. Enjoy.

Hello Friends and Comrads

Interesting news i found out the other day from an Austin Burner. Next year's Burning Man theme is the Green Man, not only that but the burn night is on my Birthday!!! So, needless to say i WILL be going to burning man next year, Who will take me and by What means is undetermined, but I have a year to figure this out. I've also been told by several people that they will buy my ticket to go out there. Thank you guys =).

You know those moments in your life in which you feel somethings are just too good, too coincidental to miss, well ya, this is one of those moments. It's got me a lil nervous though, Burning Man is such a massive, intense, and magical gathering it's hard to place myself in such a setting, expecially if neither of my sisters are able to make it out there. But in any case, I'm going, prepared or not. I only hope I'll be ready, emotionally, for it in a year.

This is For You My Friends
11:50pm 14/08/2006

mood: thankful
music: We Are Gonna Be Friends - The White Stripes
I wander through life looking for answers
One foot in front of the other
A path there is none
It is left for me to make

Sometimes there is confusion
More times there is doubt
But without fail there are always
My Friends to help out

They help me out when I am limp
When I can no longer find the path I was on
They seem to be there for my better judgements
And my foundest memories

So this goes out to you My friends
You know who you are
A Thanks for the times that we have spent
And the many more we shall endure

Hey guys wut up?
I'm finally done with moving people this summer, besides leigh in august. Everyone in my immediate family has moved, leigh is about to move, and i have been there helping them along the way. Everyone seems to be happy with their new pads, including myself. I believe co-op living is going to be pretty sweet, the people are awesome, the rooms are nice, i'm living in downtown, and there always seems to be alcohol within reach.... no complaints here. Now it's time for me to venture forth and socialize w/ the others.

=)

Working towards my Future!
10:16pm 17/03/2006

mood: optimistic
music: The Beatles - Help!
So, out of the blue i get a call today around 6 o'clock from an anonymous number. I answer with my casual "a-hoi hoi" and wait for a response. It turns out that it is Kathy, the elderly paraplegic woman whom i have told many about helping rehabilitate at the near by YMCA. My dad told be about her about a month ago and i emailed her back with my contact information, and after that i didn't get much response from her, i figured that since this was a program run by the YMCA that they had no shortage of volunteers that would be willing to help. To my surprise there is not, and she is in dire need of some assistance. So of course i am taking this golden opportunity, this woman needs my help and I can't think of a better intermediary "job" that i could take that would help build my skills as a physical therapist. I will be hired by the YMCA being paid a fair amount, enough to quit my silly dishwashing job, but i'm not doing it for the money, if she had asked for my time on the basis of good jester, I honestly would. I've been talking to my family a lot lately about volunteering and helping the people and I can't thank you guys enough for being there for me and smacking me around a lil so i get my shit straight, Thanks Guys! <3.

I Pray to the God of Fat Cash and Virginal ..... Experiences!

mood: complacent
music: Lovin Spoonful - Summer in the City
Ya, im in the need of a job. The silly government didn't send me enought dough to support me through the Whole school year, so in turn i must get a job to support me and my bad habits (smoking, drinking, drugs, internet porn, prostitutes, pimping, slapping hoes, and folk music cd's). *Sigh* being this pretty doesn't come cheap.

But other than finances things are looking up. Me and Leigh have been spending ALOT of time together, and whether she knows it or not it really means alot to me =). We've been talking a great deal and find, among other things, that our lives are amiss with Sunshine being away, but we have plans for her, haha, o yes, plans of much deviousness and sneaky intent. Really sunshine, if you're reading this call me and tell me what the hell you're up to so we can make plans to see your skanky ass. And as for this poetry Leigh mentioned in a journal comment ... I don't know what the hell she's talking about, i don't write poetry, where she got this inclination is beyond me. Although, she has inspired me to jot down thoughts, emotions, and words put in syntax and a rhyme scheme to formulate an abstract feeling or idea ... but never poetry.

So in conclusion,
1. I need lots of $$$
2. Leigh is an awesome Sister who finds the time to spend the day with me, love me, and look out for me <3
3. Sunshine is thousands of miles away, but i'll be damned if she hasn't helped me when i needed her <3
4. I don't write poetry

So, you guys wanna know what's going on in my life do ya? alright, here's the skinny:
I have to sign up with the selective services in order to apply for FAFSA in the fall, but my personal beliefs stray from doing any harm to another person. I am writing "conscientious objector" on the bottom of the selective service form and will be making copies to mail out to family, friends, and any one else who wants to keep me away from heavy firearms. This will help verify my non-violent stance if, god-forbid, there ever be a draft and i need proof that im not a draft dodger. If i don't already have your address and you wish to receive a letter please leave a comment or email me at ComfortNuggets@hotmail.com.

thank you guys for helping me out and being there for me

P.S. sorry i haven't posted in a while, maybe someday i'll stay consistent with this LJ thing. I hope you guys like the new picture =)

so what's happening guys?

this weekend was a blast. Renaissance Festival was amazing, i don't know why i ever left. I went with Carly, David, Andy, Christy, and Sarah, and I finally experienced the wonders of the "Kilt". who knew a breeze could be that friendly? we saw several shows including the Mud Show and the show with the silent comedian (the name of the show escapes me). I saw my Ex Barbie at the Ren Fair working one of the venders. (She was the cute lil 5 foot latino chica in all my prom pictures.) she's doing good from what i understand and it was a pleasure to hear from her again. fun weekend overall besides my harddrive completely crapping out on me =(

<3 to all ^_^

Hello to All =)

mood: peaceful
music: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Into my arms
hey guys, what's happening?
"so what's going on in brian's life" is probably what Everyone is wondering. hey if i wasn't me, i would be wondering what i was doing to. aside from sneaker attacking the dangly zipper string on my pants at the moment, im just Peachy. im getting back on my workout routine so next time you see me feel free to squeeze my manly biceps or my buns of steel that are capable of crushing walnuts (currently my washboard abs feel like they've been doused in kerosene and lit aflame while an overweight midget does le cooc-aracha merrily on my abdomen).. school is just fantastic, just recently got a 100 on my calc test (woot woot), and erin's been making sure i don't become a lil video game hermit by providing social outlets that i no doubt find enjoyable.

so far the plan is that me and my Sisor (pronounced See-soar and stands for Sister) are planning on making a pearland trip this weekend to say hello to family, so i finally get a chance to see my Memo (pronounced Me-moo and stands for momma's sweet heart). only thing coming up before that is Erin's potluck friday, where there will probably be singing, dancing, and profound nudity, as always.

this has been a brief re-cap in the life of Brian, i hope you enjoyed it =)

-profoundly loveable,
Brian <3

P.S. i'd like to give a Shout-out to carly's younger sister caily, because if memory serves me, it's her 18th birthday. have a very drunk and disorderly (but responsible) birthday. hope to be meeting your acquantince again soon, this time i swear i'll be sober =)

Well howdy yal,
Brian <---long time reader, first time poster. i thought i'd grace everyone on livejournal with my presence. but what to talk about . . .?
well, i started reading one of yann martel's new books "the facts behind the helsinki roccamatios", it's a series of short stories, and so far i've gotten through the first one, he's my favorite author at the moment (i highly recommend martel's "the life of Pi" to any one reading this post). School is good, but what isn't so good is that i miss me madre and my sisor =( . my time is limited and b/c of school and other obligations i haven't been able to make a trip down to pearland to see family and friends... i'll have to sucker erin into making a trip the weekend after halloween, muahaha. well im off to bed, i have a sociology test to take and womenz to be lovin. take it easy yal, leave a comment to this so i know ppl are reading, nothing is more insentive to write than you guys. much love <3
